first release: arti nama

“gHin, nama kamu aneh cara nulisnya”.

Itu komentar yang sudah sering sekali saya dengar.

Nama saya memang ngga aneh, tapi penulisannya yang agak aneh. Instead of “gina”, my parents give me “gHina” as a name (kalo gaya penulisan dengan huruf “H” kapital di tengah sih penemuan sendiri, biar ada jati diri dalam penuilisannya. hehe….).

As u know juga, nama itu kan hasi bubur-bodas-bubur-beureum orang tua yang ngasih nama. Jadi, nama pasti berarti sesuatu buat yang memberi nama. Mostly, it means a pray ^^

Jadi, apa arti nama saya?

gHina rifqia

penulisan diatas itu adalah penulisan yang bener dari nama saya. Sayangnya, karena suatu hal, di akte kelahiran nama saya tertulis “Ghina Rifkiya”, yang terpaksa saya pake secara formal.

Nama tersebut adalah pemberian ayah saya (kalo ga salah) dan berasal dari bahasa arab. Makanya, instead of “gina”, my name is written as “gHina”. The “gh” was came from arabic alphabet, “gho” ^^

gHina berarti kaya, kekayaan (richness). Kaya disini tidak hanya dalam konteks materi, tetapi bisa juga ilmu, kasih sayang, etc…

rifqia berasal dari kata rifqun, yang berarti lunak, lembut, ramah tamah, budiman.

So, it’s a pray. Supaya anaknya menjadi orang yang kaya dan lembut, ramah =)

Sepertinya, sekarang doa tersebut belum terwujud. Tapi insyaAllah, suatu saat akan terwujud (amiin..). Karena itu adalah suatu doa yang akan mengiriku sampai akhir hayat =)

PS: but i prefer “rifqie” as a nickname ^^

Entah kenapa, belakangan ini saya sering sekali memikirkan tentang asal, atau origin. Karena ternyata saya menemukan bukti-bukti kebenaran peribahasa

“air cucuran atap jatuhnya ke pelimbahan juga”

alias, yang namanya turunan itu ga jauh-jauh dari yang menurunkannya 😀

Untuk orang Inonesia, origin ini biasanya identik dengan sifat yang berhubungan dengan suku bangsa asal orang tua. Ngga heran kalau di pelbagai formulir, sering ada isian “suku bangsa” (kayanya di luar negeri kaga ada deh).Biasanya, saya selalu mengisi “Minangkabau”, suku bangsa mama pada kolom tersebut. Kenapa ya? Pertama, mungkin karena Minang identik dengan “perempuan”, jadi saya seneng aja jadi “wanita minang”. Hehe….

Padahal, secara heritage, saya lebih deket dengan Betawi, suku ayah saya. Soalnya, dari kecil kan lahir dan besar di pulau jawa. Tinggal di Bekasi yang jelas-jelas betawi. Ke Bukittinggi baru dua kali seumur hidup. Ngerti bahasa minang dikit-dikit doang, dan ga bisa ngomong minang.
Kedua, image orang minang dari sisi budaya sepertinya lebih baik. Kan yang terkenal tuh pujangga, orang-orang alim dari minang. Sedangkan orang betawi identik dengan tuan tanah yang kerjanya males-malesan. Malah, pas saya cerita bahwa ayah saya itu orang betawi dan lulusan S3, seorang temen ngomong gini, “Hah? Emang ada orang betawi yang sekolah, gHin?” (s****n!)

Tapi…………..emang image itu bener? Ngga juga kali!!! FYI, mayoritas keluarga ayah saya itu mengenyam pendidikan tinggi, tidak hanya di dalam, melainkan di luar negeri juga. Jadi, ga bener tuh image ntuh 😀

Belakangan ini, saya jadi mikir-mikir lagi, saya ini lebih minang atau lebih betawi ya???? (Ngga penting sih sebenernya, cuma pengen kontemplasi aja. hehe….)

Dan setelah dipikir-pikir, ternyata saya itu gabungan dari kedua orang tua saya (nya enya atuh!!! lho…lho… kok jadi sunda? :D), fifty-fifty lah. Ada sifat cewe minangnya, ada sifat orang betawinya juga (tebak sendiri aja sifat-sifatnya yang mana). Mun disingkat mah BeNang (Betawi-Minang) ataw MinAwi (Minag-Betawi). Jadi kedua orang tua saya sama dominasi pengaruhnya sama saya. Hehe….. ^^

Jadi, sya sudah memutuskan, kalo ada isian kaya diatas lagi…saya akan………

Gantian nulis Minang dan Betawi!
